Last night I attended the Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival Sydney to view the Fashion Bloggers Spring Edit runway show.
The show featured the top new season picks of leading Australian designers by five of the most influential fashion and lifestyle bloggers; Sara Donaldson (Harper & Harley), Zanita Whittington (Zanita), Kate Waterhouse (katewaterhouse.com), Amanda Shadforth (Oracle Fox) and Margaret Zhang (Shine by Three).
The show kicked off with a preview of the bloggers show soon to premiere on the Style Network and showed that these girls truly know what they are talking about when it comes to the latest trends - "Fashion is daring, you have to be willing to take a risk in order to be fashionable".
The girls took to the runway and it was evident that white is the new black. With the weather warming up the colours are bright, the fits are slouchy, flowy, cropped and structured suits were a dominant feature.
My picks for the night were Bec & Bridge, Ginger & Smart and Jac + Jack.
We finished the night off with a wine at the after party and a look around at the sponsors stalls.
